Info

This project involved designing and hand-binding a book built around an image-driven narrative created from a personal photo archive. While reviewing my camera roll, I noticed a recurring habit of photographing everyday objects that resembled faces, a phenomenon I later found out is known as pareidolia, which became the foundation of the project. I curated and translated these images into drawings by isolating essential shapes in Adobe Illustrator, a process that helped me reconnect with the joy of drawing.

The books laser-cut jacket reinforces the theme of close observation, revealing both the characters within and the handwritten title as interpretive imagery. Through this project, I gained hands-on experience in illustration, layout, cover design, and traditional bookbinding techniques to create a fully realized physical book.
